Jack Schaeffer was born and raised in San Diego, California. He is a graduate of Mt. Miguel High School and Grossmont College. In 1989. Jack started his career as a police officer for the San Diego Police Department. Jack spent his first 12 years working as a patrol officer before being promoted to detective in 2001. As a detective, Jack worked several assignments including Northern Division, Juvenile Services, Vice, Gangs, and Backgrounds. He was on the Emergency Hostage Negotiations Team for two years.
Jack volunteered as a Director for the San Diego Police Officers Association for nine years, including four years as the President of the association. On top of his normal tasks as President of the POA, Jack worked closely with lenders, government officials, and private non-profit organizations to develop a down payment assistance program for police officers. He and the POA Board of Directors also worked with public and private donors to establish a first of its kind child care facility for officer's children.
In May of 2024, Jack retired after 35 years of service. Jack and his wife, Lesha, moved to the northwest area of Las Vegas in July of 2024. They fell in love with this area of Las Vegas several years ago and made it their goal to relocate here after Jack's retirement. They have two successful adult children who still live in California. Jack and Lesha enjoy an active lifestyle in Las Vegas. Golfing, walking in the neighborhood, enjoying live music, attending sporting events, and traveling are a few of their primary activities.
Jack has a tremendous work ethic and especially loves helping people. He is determined to continue helping people, so he earned his real estate license. His goal is to assist first responders and others in realizing the dream of becoming homeowners.
